Do you ever get stung?
YES!! But not often & it’s not so bad. If you get stung SCRAPE the stinger out, do not pinch to pull it out. Pinching it, actually, pushes more venom into your skin.
Is it local honey?
Yes and no. We get our honey from hives across York County and the other side of Greenville, SC. We call it a deliciously healthy blend of the best honey in the state
How do you process your honey?
Let me just say that we do not over process our honey. We strain our honey after extracting it. And the only reason we filter it is because most of our clients do not like scruffy little bee parts in their honey. Our honey is raw and unpasteurized. You can taste the difference and will be proud to serve it at your table
Can I feed honey to my baby?
Please DO NOT feed honey to babies under 1 year old. They cannot digest the naturally occurring spores in honey yet.
Does local honey help allergies?
YES! The tiny wee bits of pollen in the honey help you overcome allergies to local plants. 1 spoonful a day, year around, will help you overcome the symptoms of seasonal allergies. It is especially good in hot tea, on oatmeal, in yogurt or right off the spoon!
